LG 42LV3700 42-Inch 1080p 60 Hz LED HDTV with Smart TV

The purchase through Amazon and its supplier was great, no problems .. The smart LG TV good works with a great image, lead to believe that with a stick of somas smart and do not control is not availble yet. They are published in television applications that are not yet available (Hulu-Plus). a lot of software to use a smart TV is not working or ready yet. I feel I should not advertise a product or sell if no readey to use, I think it will have to wait. He gave high marks based on Amazon's service, the purchase through a local provider would have been about $ 3 Hunderd plus tax, shipping, extended warranties and more ...

VIZIO XVT3D554SV 55-inch 1080p 480Hz 3D LED HDTV with Full Array TruLED, Smart Dimming and VIZIO Internet Apps

The 2D image here is very strong, almost as loudly. Remember when you moved from SD to HD, and all kinds of TV suddenly seemed ... wrong? As if the sets were not simply counting HD? The picture here is so clear, so deep and so high contrast colors that can have that experience again. Sometimes it seems as if the images are 3D in 2D. Compared to my previous games, is very confusing.

I made some changes in the review of the issues and conclusions.

Calibration
As usual, the outside of the box settings tend to favor a look that could give you a tan. However, the default "movie" tones things a lot (and looks a lot like what I have, after hours of calibration, making it possible to save the effort and just make a quick selection, assuming All these things come from the same box). Technically, the output modes of the box all appear to be a bit like a "hot" side, then you need to cool the image a bit, if you want the values of textbooks, but I think the picture a bit as hotter the better. Somehow (although I know better) seem more realistic.

Display Brightness
The screen is bright. That's right. I found that does not cause a problem during the day because of the inherent brightness of all lighting shrugs distributed sources reflected (not put me in direct sunlight, but not advisable for most games). And, of course, the set looks great in a dark room. However, if you sit down and have some lights in front of her at night, can be reflected. Some thoughts even give an effect, prismatic diffusion can be a distraction. No big deal. It does not take on the appearance of some screens mirror. However, it is visible and may need to rearrange your whole position or lighting.

Remote
The sliding keyboard remote control works reasonably well, but has a list of problems. First, it is not on, and a remote control that this complex is a real problem if you are using to replace the cable box or DVD remote control. You'll find lots of tiny buttons, many almost flush with the case, it can be done by touch. The slide-out alphanumeric keyboard is good to enter the information needed to access the Netflix or browse the clips, but a Tweet refers to the biggest thing you can write comfortably. The management of multiple devices at once clever and annoying. The remote device associated with each entry to the TV. So if you tell HDMI-1 is your satellite receiver and HDMI-2 is the blueray player that (after proper configuration) change the function of remote control to the appropriate device when you switch the input. However, getting control of a different device, without changing the input (if, for example, has all the devices running through a receiver) is clearly much less manipulated.

3D
At first, I was having problems with DirectTV to recognize this set as 3D and kept getting the "Your TV 3D is not consistent with this resolution." This seems to have been resolved, and now I can watch football matches and re-runs of old shoes waiting for more content in 3D, along with others. The 3D depth is good - equal to the apparent depth in the Samsung X500, which is the best I've ever seen. However, there is no apparent way to use 3D images in 2D, but a trick, a trick is very useful when you want to see "Rain of Meatballs" for the 20th time just to see some 3D.

USB
I have not seen any videos of the USB ports. I downloaded a clip in 3D on a flash drive unless it is presented as a test of Samsung. Although there are three USB ports, none of them seem to recognize the clip (or better, even to respond to insert the flash drive)

The 2D image quality
I'm still very taken with the 2D image. Even the neighbors were not impressed with Vizio previous games are excited about this. Deep blacks, nice color saturation (the initial setup is a bit on the warm side ... but I think I like a lot). The brightness and contrast a wide range and down to the "torch" that many stores seem to like it. If you think that looks good on the platform of MegaMart, looks even better on the wall at home.

I've raised my rating a star after two weeks of having the whole. I still love that comes with a remote better, but now everything is calibrated and connected to my system, I have much to complain about.

Samsung UN46D8000 46-Inch 1080p 240Hz 3D LED HDTV (Silver)

I wanted to give this TV a glowing review, after all, has some of the latest LED technology and style is a trend. After a week with this TV, I'm not satisfied with the "Samsung Experience". Let me get this off my chest first. Any time an event like a county fair, at first, if not all the rides and attractions are open? you're excited because it seems it can be fun, but it is a little early for the full experience. Well, that's how I feel about this TV. First, the 3D glasses that supposedly come with this TV were not the case. Instead, there is a bond can be sent, or go online to (I did). After a week and no answer, I called to find out why the delay. I was told to read the fine print of the voucher, who said there was a wait of 10 to 12 weeks for the glasses. Not good. Secondly, I found a problem with the remote, which is not a fun thing to have in your hand. It's kind of short and wide, with two sides. One side has a QWERTY keyboard for text entry, and a pointer to the touch. I think the up, down, right, controls the left does not work properly with my unit and asked for support to this report. They seemed very interested in the subject and said she would call back in 45 minutes (after the creation of a test unit) for more information. He was not called again. Another reviewer mentioned the difficulty of matching the remote to the TV via Bluetooth. I also thought it was a problem and not always easy to do.

Samsung has incorporated a feature called Smart Hub in its "intelligent television. This is a portal that has Netflix, Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook, Pandora, a web browser, and various games and applications that are free or pay. The action is good and I'm looking forward to seeing its development. You need to register your TV and create an account, like an Apple ID before you can buy any of the applications. Think you could do it from the TV, but can not, must go online to do this. no big deal, but it was confusing. The Samsung website is not ready for prime time as well. The discussion forum is not working yet. An interesting thing is Live Help, which works very well. However, it was not able to get the level of support needed.

Ok, enough complaints. This is good television. It is very light, has a narrow profile and includes a good support, chromium that lets you turn the TV around 30 degrees in either direction. A very important factor for me was the slim body, which allowed me to put a 46 "in my September 43" cabinet width. The TV has many inputs, including some weird connectors that allow you to connect components and composite video. I have a DVD player that uses HDMI not component connectors, and it worked well. The TV setup is not difficult if you have any experience with the connections, and I was able to get all the components and work my receiver soon. As mentioned earlier, I'm not a big fan of how the remote, and I'm trying to duplicate most of the features of my Harmony universal remote control.

One thing I did was connect my iMac to my TV to display images from my photography club. I did not expect the quality is better than my iMac 27 ", but was much better. Natural color film mode, the establishment of a warm up. The clarity was great. I saw no artifacts on the screen and intrusive was happy as a blow to the amazing image quality of my photo (as members of the club). The TV is connected to our system Uversa and HD quality is very good. I have no measuring tools or calibration but I have a good eye for photography color balance, contrast and sharpness are excellent All I need to get a handle on "Cine Mode" which can see the modern family in a strange experience.;. almost makes some programs seem to have been filmed as a novel. I leave it 'off' this feature for now. Tonite was the 10 Commandments (1956), and the quality was amazing! I still have not seen a Blue Ray DVD, as I have not bought one player yet. And of course I have no 3D glasses. How I can upgrade my plan to review how things change.
This TV is worth at least a rating of 4 stars. ¿I can add another, depending on how things develop.

Update 06/08/2011
Finally I have my 3D glasses in the Compliance Center "Samsung." Active shutter glasses are standard and come with USB cables for charging. You can connect the cables in the back of the unit and glasses recharges when the power is on. We have seen our 3D movie together for the first time last night. The 3D effect is excellent and I saw no artifacts. The fit over my glasses and comfortable. That turn on automatically when it detects a transmission in 3D, which is good.

The bulk distance is usually only waiting to be used as programming a Harmony universal remote control that allows me to use and control functions SmartHub. SmartHub still evolving and there are many update messages indicating that is constantly updated. I like Vimeo sites and Vudu, and Netflix. The browser, gamed and other applications are not attractive to me yet.

I continue to praise the image quality on this set. I can not say is better than a Sony or Panasonic or other brand, but I have no reason to look further. I can only describe the quality of high definition as "rich" and full tone. The shadow detail that surprises me, and blacks are really black. We never found the image of being too contrasting or saturated. I also believe that there is no reason to mess with the controls, because they are defined. After more than a month of view, I still find myself saying 'this is great "when I see high-quality emissions. Again, the use ATT as my provider Uversa cable, and our quality of the signal is very good. I do not expect to buy another TV of this caliber for a long time, and I hope that Samsung will grow with us in the coming years.

LG Infinia 55LW6500 55-Inch Cinema 3D 1080p 240 Hz LED HDTV with Smart TV (Included: Four Pairs of 3D Glasses)

I bought this game a week ago, and I found the ring to test everything. So far I'm very impressed.

The disadvantages are limited and are not part of a game-changer. One of them, no audio outputs on the TV that is not an optical output. If you have a legacy sound system that does not have an optical input, is not the end of the world. ~ For an extra $ 25 or so you can get an adapter, which transfers the optical signal to analog composite or RCA coaxial. $ 100 to purchase one that will do Dolby Surround (I had to do). It was a bit unpleasant, and I was tempted to have a home theater system, but it was necessary for me (and save a few hundred dollars more), which has a lot of extra games and video devices that use. It's easier to run just a TV's audio output to home theater system and everyone connected to the TV to avoid having to play with the settings too. I think that is the dispersion of audio output with most new sets anyway. Digital age takes over, I guess.

The 2D to 3D features in this game is so fun. I have to congratulate the programmers who designed this set as I'm sure trying to write a code to suit every situation has some code visual hiccups, and all that is a great feature. Images with very well defined, ie a strong plan, fund, issue a middle ground, forcing the 3D image from a 2D image that works amazingly well. That does not give you anything, mind, but certainly boost the funds back to a very credible and impressive image often. But there are times when the screen image is very confusing and an approximation. This happens particularly often with women's shirts with words on them. The face looks like it will go far, the neck is pushed back, chest ... well, let's use the word you used earlier: hilarious. A little exaggerated, yes, maybe, but it makes you wonder if people have this project done on purpose? The speculation is probably not true ... encoders dirty, dirty. It's something I noticed, some not, but I think worth mentioning. 90% positive on this set of features, give it to you.

Navigating the game is a little weird, if you want to get through the menus. It was designed more for the magical remote control (uses, too) I've found, is more or less how to use a Wii remote control if you are familiar with it. A traditionalist as I tried to use the regular remote control, took a while trying to break through the often grouped. I am also in favor of advancing technology and all, but calling TruMotion 240Hz, or whatever, it would be easier to find for the laity, in the long run if you put an explanation of the context in bubble looms an item in the menus. On the other hand, shows the 240Hz feature takes a little more confusion to the configuration of the sensitivity range update framework from 1 to 10. They assumed people do not know what a hertz is, I suppose. Discover trumotions 1 to 10, I had to guess what was playing on the screen.

Disable 240Hz may be desirable, too, if you're angry letters and "trace" on the screen. It was a feature that is denied that the point of refining the photo you have solved this problem, I think. I found it once, but I have yet to find it again. Another item on the menu.

If you are an avid gamer like me, you want to clear all the nice little features that come with this device. There are about 1 / 5 of a period of seconds in the picture ornaments compromised. Halo looked great with 3D TruMotion bound and on, but 1 / 5 of a second is the difference between a headshot and betrayal (s). It was a miserable game played that day.

I had the opportunity to see the previous model (55LW5500) to test the 3D features of the old liabilities to the characteristics (55LW6500). There were rumors that could improve the resolution of any liability in 3D with 3D are essentially taking a picture of 1080 by 540 pixels for each eye. I have read about the improvements to this feature, and I think (the comparison a few days apart), the 3D image has been enhanced. I do not know how they have improved from what I can tell, the polarizing film on the screen would have thought was a stone, and perhaps some of my own psychological system wants to be better is being dragged in the review, but I think has improved. Hard to say without a 3D active shutter in front of me with the old and new models, but I'm satisfied with the image. If you want the image in 3D without active shutter glasses (which I did), I think this is a whole.

The picture is great, the colors are excellent, LED lighting works well, lightweight package and easy to mount on a wall, the image wizard gives you a very good approximation of what you would like a photo. In one sentence, I'm satisfied.

VIZIO M470NV 47-Inch 1080p LED LCD HDTV with VIZIO Internet Application, Black

OK, so this review is based on the property for a week. TV is very easy to configure and connect to our wireless network G (without benefit of having a wireless N network), it's all about the speed of your Internet and has nothing to do with the speed of your network because High Speed Internet is the bottleneck, DSL will probably be slow, the VUDU Internet application told me to download movies in 1080p. The Bluetooth remote control that comes with the TV cable box (Comcast - Motorola), the remote is awesome! Net movie looks awesome! Internet features are very good. I hope that the company made Vizio Hulu you can tweak this TV. The picture looks amazing! However, there is better technology out there, and local dimming are supposed to give you a better picture, but is more expensive. While watching the home network (house hunters) I noticed a little bleeding from the upper left blue, not sure if he was killed that way or because of television, because I did not realize that the blue bleeding at any time. Black is great, but I do not I have twenty TV next to my other point that the TV has better blacks, this TV has a contrast ratio of 1:1,000,000 and am very happy with the image. I have not played much with the picture settings of the adjustments that come with the TV is great. I'm also happy with the sound, but no low ... speakers of your TV.

OK, the TV looks great in standard definition (I was very surprised because usually standard def does not look good with these new TV 1080p) and high definition. I just saw a preview on the internet with VUDU 1080 (did not want to spend the $ $ $ to see) and looked amazing on TV. I have a blue ray player because they do not like spending $ $ $ and I signed up for Netflix, so do not even watch a DVD to test. I have not tested the air HDTV, I live in New Hampshire, where we only have four channels and two of them suck ... lol.

Okay, now for the problems. While playing with the remote, somehow has the TV freezes within the first five hours of the property. We had to call Vizio (which became a three-tier technology) told me how to reset the firmware by pressing the power button for 30 seconds on TV, but first remove all cables (which took about 45 minutes). Since then, television has worked flawlessly. I thought that was a feature to update the firmware ... Did you know ... since it is able to connect to the Internet but could not find it :(... I do not know if this is good or bad. The TV has three USB ports not working, is supposed to work later, when Vizio correct firmware ( although I do not see how you can update it) ... so I've been reading online ... I'm not worried, but it would be a nice feature to be able to connect a USB flash drive and watch ... I personally prefer avi file Hulu and have to cancel my cable service (this is a dream for me ... lol)

OK ...
Now I have this TV for 4 months ... never stopped freezing, even after a firmware update (which is controlled by Vizio). Every day when you turn on the TV freezes ... mainly on the HD stations, but also has occurred when it was connected to my laptop and sometimes on SD channels, I can say is freezing. Above all when I turn the TV freezes when it happens that the power button for 30 seconds ... normally off but the Vizio flashes so you have to hold back for thirty seconds, then finally connects usually normal, but ... occasionally I had to double everything could be a case of five minutes.

I called Vizio to fix the problem, I have an appointment on Tuesday, two people are coming to my house, I say they are changing the motherboard and power supply. I hope this solves the problem.

My sister is 42 "LED TRUE and she is having problems with your remote control. I have a 32" Vizio ... 1080P bought a refurbished model three years ago for $ 350 and gave me a problem.

I still love the image quality and still buy a new Vizio TV ... so far ... lol. I am a masochist.

OK ... This is the third follow-up. From my telephone conversation with Vizo, it was decided to change the motherboard and power supply. This was about 2-3 weeks. Now the TV works fine. Not once frozen, it is much faster when you turn it on. What bothers me most is that I thought I loved this TV, even if they freeze so often and I ignored the problem for a long time ... as I said it would freeze every day or every other day and sometimes twice a day.

Samsung UN40D6000 40-Inch 1080p 120Hz LED HDTV (Black)

Samsung has been my # 1 choice for many years and were not disappointed. I received my TV in 5.28.11. TV box had some damage due to poor light FedEx. In addition to the load, tv is spectacular. The screen is ultra light and super thin. Allows you to enter a little more detail.

Pros:

Led: TV Super Slim beautiful. Glass base.
Ultra Clear Panel: This panel absorbs the light so nothing is ever that almost glow. That really works.
1080: nothing special, but I thought I should go here.
Samsung Apps: feature very clear. It works great, although Netflix stuttering a bit, I do not know why.
Gameplay: This is needed to play first-person Call of Duty. Great mood and improves the user experience!

Pros:

Remote Control: you still have to point to the tv to work, annoying.
Sound: decent speakers, but you can expect more than one TV + $ 800
Slow to load applications.

29/05/11
After a day of playing with my tv, I found some flaws.
1). HDMI: I tried to connect my PS3 via HDMI, but for some reason, the first door you do not. I think the board is not mounted correctly and that 2.1 ports of different sizes and not allow the HDMI cable to go in. I had to connect to port 3.

2). Light bleeding / leakage: After seeing Harry Potter, which has lots of dark scenes, I realized the light projecting from the full screen. My previous Samsung 32 "LCD does not have this problem. After searching, I decided I had some spotting. Contacted Amazon and is currently in the process of exchange. To be updated in the new order.

In short, this is a big TV, I recommend you buy this!

Samsung UN55D8000 55-Inch 1080p 240Hz 3D LED HDTV (Silver)

This review is a bit long winded. Go to the end just for the pros and cons. Or, read on to lose 10 minutes of your life.

In the last 5 years I have been using a 58 "Panasonic Plasma TV. Not a bad TV, but not the greatest as well. It was up to 1080i, which was fast enough hot (which made the room warm shooting air conditioning in many times), and the dimensions were rare (I looked at entertainment centers that must conform to the TV 60 ", but the TV does not fit.). I felt an update was in order.

I have to admit, buying a TV was fun. Much work remains. The survey was overwhelming at times. Sites about sites, magazines, books, tickets of different people, vendors try to sell different things depending on what store was so reduced it to one of many HDTVs from Sony or Samsung Series C or D. After restricting its scope to the two types, it was a little easier. I was about 4 Fry Electronics different and seven different Best Buy to check in different situations. After that, until UN55D8000 (boy, I remember the numbers). To make the decision easier, I was looking on Amazon, and to my surprise they had for $ 500 less than the others, plus free shipping. Score!

With free shipping, which usually takes a little longer. I would say that from the time of order, until he came to my door, which took about 1.5 weeks. He came home delivered direct U.S. and had no problems with delivery. They were going to set up the TV, but I said no, for my entertainment center had not yet arrived. I opened the box, put the TV on a soft cloth (our bed comforter) and installed the stand. Eight screws, piece of cake. I called DirecTV receiver and a PS3. There are some adjustments that will cost at first, when the TV is on. It takes about 2 minutes, literally. After that, the fun begins! Going from 1080i to 1080p is a huge difference! I had a recording of Chuck on DVR, and almost seemed to live. I also saw some satellite programs and even the regular non-HD channels looked amazing.

After wiping the drool from the ground, I wanted to see the 3D television. I got the free copy of Shrek 3 on PS3, put on his glasses and waited to be surprised. Besides the incredible color, which looked exactly like 2D! WTH? So I remember reading somewhere that the PS3 actually play movies in 3D, but with an update. I waited about 30 minutes for the update to finish. After that, load the DVD again, and there was the movie with this funky 3D image. Hey, wait, I have 3D glasses, as I see it. Oh, sorry. Batteries must be installed in the cups. Finally! The 3D image was amazing! Seriously, watching TV in 3D is incredible. I can not wait until "no more paper in 3D. As it stands now, the only real 3D movie are documentaries or cartoons, except for some movies regularly (ie Resident Evil, Step Up 3, etc. )

I just installed last night, so I can not give you more general information. But even if I had more time, I do not think I can give you detailed specifications may be looking for. I am not an expert in home theater. Here's a rundown of the pros and cons:

PROS:
* The lack of a larger framework that really makes a difference. Not only aesthetically but in terms of functionality, too (better 3D visualization. It seems that you are looking for a window.).
* The images are spectacular. If it's regular programming, HDTV programming or Blu-Ray.
* Price on Amazon was very good!
* The delivery was fast.
Many of the settings *, so you can configure the TV of your choice and the scene of the view (ie a film, series, etc.)
* See the 3D movie is awesome! I just wanted Panasonic does not have exclusive rights to Avatar.

CONS:
* SmartTV is a nice feature. But not a necessity. I really doubt that Facebook Tweet or television.
* Audio is not great but sufficient. I was not really expecting much from a flat screen TV.
* It comes with touch screen remote control, as was supposed to be the case earlier this year.
* Please e-mail receipts (or register online) to get 3D glasses. True, you will receive a starter kit with this 3D TV, which has the glasses, but these glasses are a little different and use batteries. In addition, you must send a free copy of Shrek and Megamind forever. It really does not complain, however, as these are free.
Do you require a more detailed manual on the use of most resources. The manual comes with its thickness, but only because the same thing in different languages.

Sorry for the long review. In yelpers write a bunch of garbage, right?

UPDATE: After playing with the TV a little more this weekend, I noticed that the top of the screen was a little blinking light (about where the screen frame and is approximately 1 / 16 "of high and was almost completely through the TV. I'm hoping is not the "brink of enlightenment.") that only made some DirecTV channels. Most of the channels were fine and Blu-ray was fine. I think it's Once the receiver or, possibly, the cheapest HDMI cable. I have a Monster Cable M1000 series coming later this week, so I update and change of residence.

In addition, there was a conversation around online about people having problems syncing the remote. I had no problems and had about 5 feet from the TV.

One last thing, one of the glasses 3D computer does not seem to work. I changed the batteries and nothing. The next morning, I tried again, this time turning off the bluetooth on the phone and it worked. If this had an effect on him, I dunno. However, just thought I'd throw out there.

Indeed, this weekend, I have seen entangled in 3D MLB2K11 and played on the PS3 ...... WOW! I have to admit, I like 3D, but I thought it was a novelty. No way. 3D is very different now than when we had those red and blue glasses. Change the whole experience.

Update # 2: No need to do something for the line was. He just went away one day.

Also, I finally got the 3D glasses of proof is on TV. Unfortunately, there are the 3,300 3700S kept seeing people at CES. It will not remove the rating, but I'm a little disappointed that the glasses and the remote control that was announced earlier this year did not come with the unit, or even through e-mail. The charger of glasses is $ 199! No thanks. I will read it with the USB cable.

LG Infinia 55LV5500 55-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV with Smart TV

This is my first big screen HDTV purchase and I had a list of requirements to be fulfilled. He had to play a lot of video codecs natively (no need for a Blu-ray) and formats (avi, iso, avi, xvid, etc.). And the viewing angle and image quality was to be fantastic (as better than comparable models in recent years). This TV certainly less met my needs and was within my budget. My main sources are the video over-the-air HD channels files, MKV HD on my computer, and video content from the TV comes with applications.

Pros:
Very thin frame. As with all LCD-LED frames, these TV shows are only a few millimeters thick. It also has very little power.
-Great image quality. I have no complaints. Tru-Motion to hang and some calibration and looks fantastic. Entirely comparable to Sony and Samsung, with the correct settings. There is some grain Ness, if you get too close, while ensuring the air HD, but this is the case with every series I've seen, if the LED or Plasma.
- While this feature is not advertised, LG 2011 Smart TV comes with the "Plex" compatibility. Plex is a server that is installed on your computer and you can stream video / audio / images on wifi or wired LAN. It is much better than the DLNA in every way. I only use the Plex server, DLNA anymore because the GUI is much better and the connection now seems to be more reliable. Plex play almost all video files that play on any resolution (MKV, AVI, ISO, XVID, even without compression BD-start). There are currently some problems with DTS audio on anything but 2 channel stereo though.
- I believe that each unit comes with an IPS panel. More most panel lottery with this model, at least. Panel "IPS" for more information about Google that if you are not familiar.
-The magic wand from a distance. This TV comes with two remotes. A pattern that has been built on a light background and looks very good (big buttons). The second remote that comes with this TV is called "Magic Wand Remote" and is basically a Wii-mote. It is a Bluetooth remote control that moves you to move a cursor on the screen. This makes typing on the onscreen keyboard and easy to navigate through menus a breeze.
- Wi-Fi standard. This model comes with a standard Wi-Fi adapter, so you do not have to buy one. The TV also has a LAN port (Ethernet), if you want to go cable.

Pros:
-The biggest shock to me is not really a problem specific to this set, but wi-fi transmission in general. I tried to transmit 1080p MKV and 12.8 GB on my LAN 802.11g can not do without the video buffer every minute or two. I found that the most important factor in whether a file or buffer to gently touch via Wi-Fi is the file size. My wireless connection is strong and no problems of interference or distance. Not only is it possible to send large files in most LAN Wi-Fi HD and have to play without any buffer, so that certain files can not be seen. That said, no less than 5 GB of flow (including HD MkVs) unbuffered Plex perfectly and you have the ability to activate subtitles. A lot of small MKV is working for me still look great in HD (comparable to that of Blu-Ray). My next step is to see if an external hard drive connected directly to the USB port on the TV would eliminate buffering. I'll update when I try to do in the future.
-The speakers on this TV are terrible. I think when you have a thin TV you can not put anything better than laptop speakers large. Right out of the box, I thought the speakers were broken, it sounded metallic and distorted, as if off. After adjusting the sound settings a bit more reasonable sounding, but still very soft and has a lot to boot. To really enjoy this game, at least I have a sound bar. Almost all external speakers would be an update here.
- The LG YouTube application (and in case the YouTube application also Plex) are useless. You can not see the channel pages, you can not find specific videos and can not view live broadcasts YouTube. That are more or less subject to what they want to endure when seeking something and to make matters worse the application is very slow. I have a 12 MB connection to the Internet and the TV is in the same room as the router, so the burden of any random video that gives you fast, but the application itself can not be used. That said, once they get a YouTube video playing 1080p looks amazing.
- All other applications in general, are heavy and feel like they are in beta mode. Do not get this TV if you are primarily interested in Internet connectivity and resources. Built in the browser is slower than dial-up and does not support flash. Plugins Plex have other applications comparable to LG, but did not work. Plex is the best option as a single server, but may improve over time in relation to their plugins (applications). FYI Plex on television is accessed through an application called "Medialink".
-There is a bit flashlighting occasionally, but not really enough to complain. No opacity seen and not the trailing edge of light (good thing).

The only thing I will mention is that this TV may have disabled the functionality. I was reading the user AVForums impressions "of television and at some point in an earlier version of firmware, it seems that local television had attenuation settings that lead me to believe there may be an LED-lit edges. Do not take my word for she did not really know. It can also be built in DVR functionality if you connect an external hard drive (again, apparently, disappeared with a firmware update). None of these things are advertised and are characteristic of the versions international model. You can find more information about this on their own, but is actually a favor or against one, something to ponder.

2011 55LV5500 LG model has a price comparable to Sony and Samsung LCD-LED to make a good market share away from them. It was located on a Samsung or Sony, but after researching this model and get a great deal from another site, I went with the LG 55LV5500 time and am satisfied. We have to wait and see if it gives me the life of a Sony TV. I give this TV 4 stars, the great defect of being broken Internet applications.

LG 42LK520 42-Inch 1080p LCD TV - Black

I bought a LG 42LD550, used it for several months and was very happy with its quality, but the screen size of 42 "was a bit too small for my room so I decided to buy a bigger TV in place . The LD550 has better features than the LK520 - web application was something that attracted me, but it requires an adapter that comes with the TV, so I did not try I do not think I have this function in any case. so I bought back the 47 "LK520 at the same price --- that was for sale on Amazon for 700.

Shipping:

This model was released in March 2011, and put the order in April. I think because it is relatively new, so I had to wait 4-6 weeks to ship the product.

So, after waiting patiently for over a month, my TV has finally arrived. I was hoping the guys in the shipping company to open the box and let me watch TV as they did when I bought the other LG models. I was surprised when I said they could not open the box, and that I should open my own, and maintain a picture of a year, if you need it again. This sounds a bit strange, but I signed the delivery slip anyway.

Mounting:

It took several minutes to mount the TV. My brother and I put the panel on the couch with the screen down and secured the base / stand with a few screws. It appears that support was made of cheap plastic. I hope it's harder than it looks.

The look:

This TV has a simple sophisticated design. I like the matte and glossy black frame. There is a small blue light on the bottom right when the TV is on. Although the distance is easy to use, the project seems boring and cheap, some buttons / functions seems to me a duplicate. But I think it's no big deal as long as the works.

Sound Quality:

There are several ways you can choose the sound. Was defined as "standard" by default, and the volume was low, but it was much better since I changed it to "music" or "Cimem." Also called the "surround sound" feature. Above all I am happy with the sound quality.

Image quality:

I had the TV for two weeks, at first I was impressed with image quality - sharp and clear, and the color looks great, and LD550 model. I put the picture mode "Cinema" - the "default" mode is a bit too bright for sensitive eyes. Of course, you can create and save the path of self-image, adjust brightness, color and contrast, etc, but one day I noticed the brightness on the screen suddenly changed --- which was darker after Some time was brilliant again (which is similar to when you're not rolling clouds in the sky on a sunny day). Do not turn the "smart sensor" and I think the light in my room has not changed. I have not had this problem with the LD550 model. Not sure if I have a defective item or what. Now I give it a 4 stars, TV and waiting for an easy solution to the problem of glare. I will try it for a few days and decide if you should call LG or return ....

*** UPDATE: I found the reason my TV suddenly go dark because I had the "Engergy Saver" in (set to "Auto"). Thus, when the sensor detects a change in the illumination of the television in the room, adjust the screen brightness automatically. Sometimes the screen is so dark you can barely see. I'm not sure how you can save energy by doing this, but I think it's boring to me, so I turned to the function, and solved the problem! Glad I did not have to return this TV. I'm happy with my purchase so far.

LG Infinia 42LV5500 42-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV with Smart TV

View my photos uploaded. I recommend this TV based on the size and good image I saw this model at Sears. Purchased from Amazon after the purchase price. UPS delivered a box a little elaborate. Carrying case, said AUSYLJR panel. This panel is certainly full view of the panel, but in my room that is not a problem. I compared the website of the LG contrast ratio by two different contrast ratio of Amazonas and the agreement is not declared. The creation of the base with eight screws was easy. After my DW care helped me lift the TV to the top of the dresser was ready for the smoke test. But first I noticed a small incision in the central table in the masking tape. One star deduction for this defect. When you turn the set went into a configuration so simple, but I stopped short when I first wanted to find the OTA channels. I plugged some rabbit ears and let it automatically do a thing. Once done switch the input of an HDMI cable from my cable box and everything seemed fine. It was very easy to get a wireless connection. All I had to do was enter my password Linky. So I clicked on Netflix and I have a message of approval. Meanwhile, television began to update its software, which took about 10 minutes. After rebooting I found that erased my password Linky so I went again. Now the proof of Netflix.

I selected the documentary Restrepo, addicted to the headphones and started the test Netflix. Immediately I was impressed by the quality of video and audio I was seeing. Trust me. It was great! !

The few free applications LG are a joke.
The Facebook application is not very good compared to the PC site Facebook.
The TV image of the open seemed much darker than I liked, so turn off the power saving mode, which solved the problem.
I realized that when my cable DVR, pause mode, went to a black screen with a moving image display little savings they had less black around the moving image.
Amazon just dropped the price of this model. Amazon agreed to combine their new low price - only once.

Printing the first week:

LED lighting little escapes through vents in the back of the set.
This LG TV viewing is still an excellent image, but I'm not a big fan of LED TVs. I prefer my older Sammy LCD model 650 only in my TV room.
This TV was mounted in March 2011 and sold to me by Amazon in April 2011.
Amazon seems to alter the price up and down this TV almost every day.
Carrying Case for LG Trashman go today because I'm keeping my baby.
